Manufacturing: Quality, Safety and Production Records
Batch records, QA inspections, ISO certification packs, OSHA returns — production-floor evidence captured at the point of work.
Manufacturing: Quality, Safety and Production Records
A manufacturing organisation in Kenya is documenting constantly — every shift, every batch, every inspection, every maintenance task, every safety incident, every KEBS submission. Paper-based capture loses the data; capture in Papyrus turns the data into the operations dashboard.
Batch-level traceability
Each production batch in Papyrus is a record with:
- Batch master document
- Raw material lot numbers (linked to supplier QC certificates)
- Production parameters logged
- In-process QC checks
- Final QC certificate
- Packaging and labelling records
- Distribution log
- Customer-side complaint records (where any)
When a quality issue surfaces, batch traceability is instant — both upstream (which raw lot caused this?) and downstream (which customers received this batch?).
ISO certification packs
For ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 certified organisations, the documented system is the heart of the certification. Papyrus's controlled-document workflow means:
- Every procedure has version history with approver signatures
- Every form has version control
- Records produced by each procedure are linked to it
- Periodic review of procedures is scheduled and tracked
Safety records
OSHA submissions and safety records:
- DOSH-prescribed forms with auto-fill
- Incident investigation reports
- Safety training records
- PPE issuance logs
- Risk assessment records (per process / area)
- Audit trails for emergency drills
KEBS submissions
Standards Mark and quality certifications require periodic submissions. Papyrus generates the document packs to KEBS specifications from the underlying batch records.
