Your Board Workspace — Director Guide
Activate your account, read and annotate board packs, ask questions, vote, sign resolutions, track your actions and keep your declarations up to date — in English, French or Kiswahili.
Your Board Workspace — Director Guide
The board workspace (/board) brings together every board and committee you sit on. It is available in English, Français and Kiswahili — choose under Profile.
Getting in
- Invitation — open the link in your invitation email. Confirm the code we email you, accept the acceptable-use statement, choose a password and set up a second factor (a passkey or an authenticator app).
- Signing in later — use your email, password and second factor. Staff who are also directors find a Board workspace link in the main menu.
- The workspace locks when idle. Confirm it's you to carry on.
Home
Your home page shows notices from the secretariat, meetings coming up and your reply, packs with how much you have read, resolutions waiting for your vote, and your declarations on file.
Reading the pack
Open a meeting and choose Read the pack. The reader shows your own copy, watermarked with your name:
- Contents and thumbnails jump to any paper; search finds words in your copy.
- Highlight, draw and add notes — private by default; you can share a note with the board.
- Ask a question about a page — it goes to the paper's presenter or the secretariat.
- Personal briefing lists the decisions asked of you, risks, declared interests and a reading plan; Listen reads it aloud on your device.
- Download and print are available only when the board allows them, after you confirm it's you, and every copy is stamped.
Voting and signing
Resolutions waiting for you are on the home page. Voting asks you to confirm it's you (passkey or authenticator code). For a secret ballot, the record shows that you voted, never how. When a resolution needs your signature, Sign opens the signing ceremony; we email you a one-time code.
Actions and declarations
- Actions lists what you own from board meetings; report progress there.
- Declarations and questionnaires — annual declarations of interest, related-party disclosures, evaluations and attestations open under Governance. Anonymous evaluations never show your name.
Calendar feed
Under Profile → Calendar feed, create a private address and subscribe to it from Outlook, Google Calendar or your phone. It lists your board and committee meetings by board and meeting number — never the agenda or papers. The address is shown once; make a new one or switch the feed off at any time.
On your phone
The Papyrus app's Board portal gives you the same workspace on Android and iOS, with offline copies and fingerprint or face unlock. See Offline reading and device security.
