- Open this URL on your Android device:
https://yourtenant.papyrus.io/downloads/Papyrus.apk - Tap Download
- Open the downloaded file
- Allow “Install from unknown sources” if prompted (this is one-time)
- Tap Install
- Open the app and sign in
Via Google Play (where available)
Coming soon. For now, use the APK above.
iOS
The iOS version is currently in TestFlight beta. Contact your Papyrus administrator for the TestFlight invitation. Public App Store availability is on the 2026 roadmap.
First-run setup
After installing:
- Open the app
- Enter your server URL (your tenant's Papyrus URL)
- Sign in (email + password, or passkey if registered)
- Allow notifications when prompted (you can change this later)
- Allow camera access when prompted (needed for document scanning)
- Allow location (optional, used for GPS-tagging photos)
What you can do
- Scan — point camera at any document, app deskews and enhances, upload
- View — browse your documents (with offline cache for recent items)
- Approve — handle workflow tasks from your queue
- Comment — comment and @mention on documents
- Search — across everything you have access to
- Notifications — push notifications for assigned tasks
Offline mode
The mobile app works offline:
- Recently-accessed documents are cached locally
- Comments and approvals queue locally
- Document uploads queue locally
- Everything syncs automatically when connectivity returns
